1. FREMANTLE PRISON

The Prison is without a doubt Fremantle's most popular tourist attraction. And for good reason! The is WA's only World Heritage listed building and taking a tour is like stepping back in time. There are five different guided tours on offer, catering to all levels of interest and adventure, from cultured art tours to paddling through the cavernous tunnels to get the adrenalin rushing! For a invaluable and exciting insight into Australia's convict history Freo Prison is the place to go!

2. MARITIME MUSEUM

The Maritime Museum offers visitors the chance to truly grasp the essence of Fremantles ongoing status as WA's most famous port city. The museum is set right on the shores of the Indian Ocean, housing an array of unique gallery's and exhibitions. Some of the most popular include the Australia II (the winning America's Cup yacht), The Parry Endeavour and The HMAS Ovens, an authentic Cold-War era war vessel. Entrance fees are excellent value for money, making the Maritime Museum a great day out for the whole family.

3. TRAM TOUR

Since 1985 Fremantle Tram Tours has been treating visitors to informative, educational and entertaining guides of our charming portside city. With six conveniently located 'hop-on-hop-off' stops around Fremantle it's the perfect way to get explore. From the Prison to the Markets to the Cappucino Strip, Fremantle Trams will get you there (and back!).

4. THE ROUNDHOUSE

Opened in 1831, The twelve sided Round House is the oldest public building in Western Australia. It was built just three months after settlement and designed to hold criminals and prisoners. It was closed as a gaol in 1886 and has since served functions such as a Police lock-up, accommodation and storage facility for Fremantle port. Today it is one of Fremantle's most popular attractions.  There are a number of volunteers stationed at different points around the building to keep you informed on it's vivid history.

5. LITTLE CREATURES BREWERY

After a hard days sightseeing you'll be well deserving of putting your feet up and relaxing at one of Australia's most known and loved micro-breweries, right here in the heart of Fremantle. Little Creatures is set directly on the waterfront, offering incredible views of the harbour and the famous West Australian sunsets! Even if you're not into beer the building itself is worth a look, patrons seated in a amongst huge beer kegs. Serving up delicious food and award winning beer LC's is a 'must do' on any beer lovers itinerary!
